Bruised and Bloodied Bastards - 5.18.22 - Sc.1

Rebuffed over and over again, the crew fell into disarray. A wandering scoundrel named Billy Idol and tinkerer Tony came upon the crew. Craig the Cragheart and Shelly the Spellweaver took some time to recover, hoping that the new recruits would be enough to fulfill the contract from Jekserah. Billy and Tony seemed to be quite competent for their attacks quickly cut the bandits down to size.

Upon entering the second room, Billy remarked "Everyone wants to be a god damn stealth archer" as arrows whizzed past. These poor archers failed to account for the speed and ferocity of Trai and Billy, as they swept into the room and quickly dispatched of them.

Tony crashed through the door to the third room, it must be where our target is hiding. Unfortunately he was not there. Instead we found reanimated skeletons! Grotesque beings held together by magic and sinew. Tony did what he could, cutting the skeletons before retreating. Their magic grew heavy and he fell, exhausted and unable to continue the fight.

Billy once again stepped into the fray, temporarily turning invisible so that he could get closer to the skeletons before delivering a fatal strike. Trai on the other had was heard yelling as he ran into the room. Perhaps it was a cry for a fallen ally from the past, a Leroy Jenkins. Regardless, Trai made it all the way to the back of the room, knocking the bow from the elite archer's hands and crashed down upon the archer's head with his mighty sword. Unfortunately his sword was stuck, rendering him without a weapon. Billy looked at him in a panic. He had no more weapons to use, and traps lay between him and the one remaining archer. All he could do was wait for the arrows to release him to his sweet death. Trai quickly picked up the bow from the fallen elite. He had little experience with this type of weapon, however he knew the pointy end goes out. He pulled back on the string, closed his eyes and let loose.

By a miracle the arrow struck true. The archer slumped over and slid to the ground. Alas all of the bandits, and their skeletal abominations were slain. Trai walked forward, pulled a few coins out of the archer's pocket and roared. He knew another battle was due soon. That bandit commander had nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
